Back up photos to Dropbox
Photo Transfer App PRO can upload photos and videos directly from your phone to your Dropbox account. Transfers go straight to Dropbox over the internet — no Photo Transfer server in between, no copy of your files on our end.
Before you begin
- A Dropbox account.
- Photo Transfer App PRO on your phone (see What's included in PRO).
- Your phone connected to the internet.
Step-by-step
- Open Photo Transfer App on your phone.
- Tap Send -> Cloud.
- From the destination chooser, pick Dropbox.
- Select the photos and videos you want to back up.
- Tap Send now.
- If this is your first time, you'll be sent to Dropbox's login page in your phone's browser to authorize Photo Transfer App. Sign in and tap Allow. You're then returned to the app.
- Select the destination folder in your Dropbox account.
- Tap Upload now. Files upload directly to your Dropbox account.
What's preserved
- Full original resolution.
- EXIF metadata, GPS, capture date.
- HEIC stays as HEIC; ProRAW / DNG stay as RAW.
