Transfer photos from iPhone or iPad to Windows PC

Move photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to a Windows PC over WiFi. No iTunes, no drivers, no cable. There are two ways to do it.

Before you begin

  • Photo Transfer App installed on both your iPhone or iPad and your Windows PC.
  • Both devices on the same WiFi network.
  • Photo Library permission granted on iOS.

Method 1 — Pick on the PC

Browse your iPhone's library on the bigger screen and download what you want.

  1. Open Photo Transfer App on your PC.
  2. Open Photo Transfer App on your iPhone or iPad. Tap SendComputerPick on Computer.
  3. Your iPhone appears in the Windows app. Click it to connect.
  4. Browse your iPhone's albums and photos directly in the Windows app.
  5. Select the items you want, then click Download.

Method 2 — Pick on the iPhone or iPad

  1. Open Photo Transfer App on your iPhone or iPad. Tap SendComputerPick on Phone.
  2. Browse your photo library and select the items you want. The selection becomes a Selected album.
  3. Open Photo Transfer App on your PC. Your iPhone appears with the Selected album visible.
  4. Open the Selected album, then click Download → Download Album. The entire selection transfers in one go.

About HEIC on Windows

Windows 10 and 11 can open HEIC photos if the free HEIF Image Extensions are installed from the Microsoft Store. If you'd rather have JPGs, switch on automatic HEIC → JPG conversion in the iOS app's settings — Photo Transfer will convert each file as it sends.

What's preserved

  • Full original resolution, EXIF metadata, GPS coordinates, capture date.
  • Live Photos arrive as a still + a short video.
  • ProRAW and DNG arrive at full bit depth.
