Transfer photos from Android to Mac

Move photos and videos from any Android phone or tablet to your Mac over WiFi. Works with Pixel, Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and any phone running Android 10 or newer. Two ways to do it.

Before you begin

  • Photo Transfer App installed on both your Android device and your Mac.
  • Both devices on the same WiFi network.
  • Photos permission granted on Android.

Method 1 — Pick on the Mac

  1. Open Photo Transfer App on your Mac.
  2. Open Photo Transfer App on your Android device. Tap SendComputerPick on Computer.
  3. Your Android device appears in the Mac app. Click it to connect.
  4. Browse your phone's albums and photos directly in the Mac app.
  5. Select what you want, then click Download.

Method 2 — Pick on the Android device

  1. Open Photo Transfer App on Android. Tap SendComputerPick on Phone.
  2. Browse your gallery and select photos and videos. The selection becomes a Selected album.
  3. Open Photo Transfer App on your Mac. Your phone appears with the Selected album visible.
  4. Open the Selected album, then click Download → Download Album.

Storage locations on Android

The app reads from your device's main media storage (the gallery — same files you see in Google Photos, Samsung Gallery, etc.). On phones with a microSD card or USB OTG storage, you can also browse those locations if you've given the app file access.

What's preserved

  • Full original resolution, EXIF metadata, GPS, capture date.
  • RAW formats (Pixel DNG, Samsung RAW) preserved at full bit depth.
  • Photos are not recompressed or watermarked.
