Send photos from the iOS Photos Share menu

On iPhone and iPad, you can send photos through Photo Transfer App without opening the app first. Use Apple's built-in Share menu from inside Photos, Files, or any other app that lets you share images.

How it looks in the Share menu

In the iOS Share sheet, Photo Transfer App appears as Transfer. Tap it the same way you'd tap any other share target.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. (Or any other app that lets you share images — Files, Safari, Mail, etc.)
  2. Pick the photos and videos you want to send.
  3. Tap the Share button (the square with the up-arrow).
  4. Scroll through the app row and tap Transfer.
  5. The same Send dialog appears as if you had tapped Send from inside Photo Transfer App — pick your destination (another device, a computer, or a cloud service) and continue from there.

Why this is useful

  • Faster path when you're already inside Photos browsing — no need to switch apps to start a transfer.
  • Works from anywhere — any app that supports the iOS Share menu can hand photos to Photo Transfer App.
  • Same destinations — every transfer mode (phone-to-computer with the two pick paths, phone-to-phone, cloud backup, browser) is available.

If you don't see "Transfer" in the Share sheet

  1. Tap the Share button.
  2. Scroll the app row all the way to the right.
  3. Tap More.
  4. Find Transfer in the list and toggle it on. You can also drag it higher in the list so it appears first.
